Throughout our own world's history, cultures and civilizations have used many names to refer to our home amid the cosmos. The Saga of the Freewilds takes place in an original Dark Fantasy setting called the Realms of Wyrmshadow.

 

There are but a scarce few who refer to the world by its true name during the era in which we join the adventures of Lukarde Alfans in the Saga of the Freewilds. Only the most sage and learned scholars would be familiar with the earliest hints of their world's long and storied history.

 

Most folks would simply call it 'the world.'

 

I extend to you, dear readers and friends, an invitation to delve deeper into the Realms, to understand its unique geography, its extensive history, and its detailed cosmology. The Saga of the Freewilds primarily focuses upon just one region of Wyrmshadow's Material Realm (Albeit an incredibly important region, as readers will continue to learn as the Saga progresses).

Herein, you will find maps, diagrams, short prose, articles and other works I have gathered for you to fuel your understanding of Lukarde's world, its history, its cultures, and much more. It is my hope that these resources will enhance your enjoyment of the novels and other works set within the Saga's vast, Dark Fantasy setting.
